Research is the basis for advocacy and informed decisions. Our research projects are centred on understanding the African food system and developing pragmatic yet ambitious solutions. We offer evidence-based advice to our clients through a diverse toolkit that includes value chain analysis, stakeholder mapping, case studies, and scenario planning.
Program Design and Implementation
We design and implement multi-year programs tailored to each country’s unique contexts. Our current projects address food insecurity, malnutrition, gender equality and women’s economic empowerment, food environments, urban food systems, obesity, livelihoods and job creation, energy transition, food loss and waste, food safety, protein transition, and climate change.
Technical Services
We provide technical services to the food industry to enable them produce safe, nutritious, affordable, and sustainable food. Our consultants advise food companies on food safety and quality management systems, food product development and reformulation, process engineering and equipment design/installation, renewable energy, packaging, market-entry, and consumer studies.
