Professor Gregory Ikechukwu Onwuka
Professor Onwuka is a Professor of Food Science and Technology at the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike. He is the Head of Department and Dean at the College of Applied Food Sciences and Tourism and previous as the Head, Department of Food Science and Technology. He has 20+ years’ experience in research and teaching of food processing, food safety, food chemistry, toxicology, and analysis. He is the author of Food Analysis and Instrumentation – Theory and Practice and Food Science and Technology. He has also authored over 70 refereed journal publications. Much of his work has led to the technological innovation in his field and has been utilised in partnership with international organisations, government, and agencies.
He received his B.Sc., M.Sc. and PhD degrees in Food Science and Technology at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology.
